
Book Club in a Bag is a an easy DIY book club! Each bag contains 10 copies of the same title with a 6-week checkout period as well as discussion questions. We'll provide the books, you gather your people and provide the snacks! It's that easy, all you need is a Library card! There are hundreds of titles to choose from!

Join us at several Library locations for concerts featuring a wide variety of local musicians. At the Library you can enjoy live performances, check out concert DVDs, or stream music right to your device!

Celebrate Read a Romance Novel Month with one of the genre's best tropes: enemies to lovers. Whether it's workplace rivals, royal adversaries, or sworn magical foes, these characters start tense and combative but end up falling for each other. Spanning contemporary, fantasy, LGBTQ+, and historical romances this list is sure to have a story to please nearly every romance reader!
Nonprofit Workshop Series
Register for free, in-person workshops on a variety of nonprofit management topics. Workshops are led by local nonprofit experts. Librarians on our nonprofit team also offer training using the Foundation Directory Online, a prospecting tool for researching grant funders.

The Library is seeking social practice artists for 2026 programming related to the semi-sesquicentennial—the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. Artists will be paid up to $4,800 and are required to make multiple visits to various locations of The Indianapolis Public Library over the course of 2026.
Small Business Series
Central Library proudly presents its annual small business series of free, in-person workshops. The series includes workshops delving into crucial topics such as financial statement analysis, legal considerations for businesses, effective marketing strategies, and safeguarding intellectual property. This year’s series also includes two workshops presented in Spanish.

Browse nowAdult or universal changing stations are full-size changing tables that allow individuals with mobility needs to be changed safely, with dignity and respect. The Indianapolis Public Library and Tangram are partnering to raise awareness about the need for Adult or Universal Changing Stations and to increase the number of changing stations in Marion County and throughout Indiana. A station is now available at Fort Ben, Nora, and Pike with Central Library's coming soon.
